Using a common operating system, BTI’s modular solutions let you custom fit any BTI platform to address a wide range of applications including: GbE backhauling, reach extension, capacity expansion, HD optimized video distribution, multiservice rings and many other applications requiring optical transport flexibility and/or Ethernet switching. All of these high bandwidth services are cost effectively transported using the integrated CWDM/DWDM capabilities. Modules are available with different feature sets and at different cost points.
packetVX™ // The packetVX™ integrated packet services modules provide an innovative approach for rapid delivery and provisioning of new Ethernet services for today’s service provider networks. packetVX™ provides gigabit Ethernet service aggregation onto 10G Ethernet access rings, converging packet switching functionality with the WDM layer and providing sub-50ms optical protection. Innovative virtual switch capabilities turn access rings into a virtual network element dramatically simplifying operations, management, and provisioning of both residential and business Ethernet services.
Transponders // The multiprotocol transponder portfolio provides economical connection and conversion of any optical interface (850nm, 1310nm, CWDM, DWDM) to any wavelength on the ITU wavelength grid (CWDM, DWDM) with optional 3R regeneration. These modules include dual density cards, integrated protection switching, and multiprotocol support.
Muxponders // The multiprotocol muxponder portfolio provides industry-leading density for sub-wavelength multiplexing of a wide range of protocols onto a protected 10 Gbps or 2.5 Gbps wavelength. Innovative ring functionality combines optical ADMs with the WDM layer and provides sub-50ms protection.
Optical Amplifiers //BTI supports a full portfolio of single channel, sub-band and C-band DWDM amplifier modules including pre-, booster, line, and line amplifiers with mid-stage access.
Dispersion Compensation Modules // The dispersion compensation portfolio supports both Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) and Dispersion Compensating Fiber (DCF) technologies. It is one of the most complete portfolios in the industry today.
Multiplexing (CWDM/DWDM Mux/Demux/OADMs) // BTI offers a complete suite of DWDM (both active and passive) and CWDM Mux/Demux and Optical Add/Drop modules.
Fiber Connectivity // BTI's fiber connectivity portfolio goes beyond CWDM/DWDM multiplexing to support virtually any connectivity scenario required to adapt your existing fiber infrastructure to the continuous challenge of delivering new services.
